To meet the demand for 1911 accuracy and reliability in smaller packages ,
Sig  Sauer has extended the series to include pistols scaled down for
concealed carry while preserving shooting comfort. Capitalizing on the
design of the larger version 1911's, these carry model handguns feature
precisely machined slides and internal components, match-grade barrels,
front strap checkering and other quality details. 1911 Carry models have a
shortened stainless slide mounted on a full-size stainless frame.
