The first firearm ever created by the estimable Bill Ruger was a Standard
.22 pistol with a 1949 pedigree. The goal back then was to build guns to be
simple, reliable and affordable.  Each Ruger pistol that is matched to a
Lasergrip laser sight exemplifies this goal.  Something that's as important
now as it was then.
